Potholes State Park

Potholes State Park is a 640-acre camping park with 6,000 feet of freshwater shoreline on Potholes Reservoir (also known as O’Sullivan Reservoir). Potholes Reservoir is often confused with the Pothole Lakes themselves, which are a 30- to 45-minute drive from the park. The terrain is desert with freshwater marshes.

This park is near the Pothole Lake, which is about a 30 to 45 minutes drive from the park. This Potholes State Park also has a major advantage over the other parks, this park is also used as a camping site. The park is opened all through the year and can be used for camping on all days of the year. Potholes Park has a desert type of terrain as well as has freshwater marshes.

This park has a large amount of picnic centers. This park attracts people that enjoy fishing, hunting and also because of its natural landscapes more people come to this place to spend their time peacefully. People interested in sports could also use this park to pass time by playing golf. With dozens of lake attracts many people come for the water sports also.

Tourists interested in bird watching and wildlife can visit the Columbia wildlife refuge, which is near the park. The cost for the park is very cheap, it is about $7 per person. Also the camping fee is very affordable when compared to the other camping spots in the state. The only restriction for camping here is only 8 people are allowed per campsite. This park is one the nature’s gift to mankind.
